Plumbing Service Technician

The job description for the position of Plumbing Technician for Pro-Western Mechanical Ltd. is outlined below. This full-time permanent role supports the Service department by performing installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of residential and commercial HVAC and plumbing systems. The position requires 40 hours per week and may include participation in an on-call rotation.

Roles & Responsibilities

Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential and commercial HVAC and plumbing systems.

Respond to service calls for a wide range of HVAC equipment.

Perform preventive maintenance and minor plumbing and HVAC system repairs.

Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and plumbing-related issues.

Assist service teams and project teams with assigned tasks.

Participate in on-call rotation as required.

Qualifications

Strong communication skills for customer and team interactions.

Proficiency in plumbing diagnostics, troubleshooting, and use of related tools/equipment.

Knowledge of plumbing systems and brazing techniques.

Ability to perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections.

Strong problem-solving skills for electrical and mechanical issues.

Physical ability to lift and handle heavy equipment, strong manual dexterity.

Basic math and calculation skills.

Ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends.

Ability to participate in on-call rotation.

Valid Class 5 driver’s license.

Technical trade certification.

Experience in service with proven competence.

OR EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
