Position: City Radio Technologist Role
Join the City of Saskatoon as a Radio Technologist, focusing on public safety communications. You'll ensure reliability in emergency services through the Motorola ASTRO® 25 P25 systems.

In this crucial role within the Digital Technology Department, you will work under the Electronic Communications Coordinator. You'll be responsible for system installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting, delivering essential communication services across departments. A solid background in radio systems is needed for this vital position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair radio communication systems

• Configure systems for seamless inter-department communication

• Maintain microwave, fibre optic, and network systems

• Ensure compliance with regulatory communication standards

• Document system configurations accurately

Requirements:

• Diploma in related Electronic Systems Engineering Technology

• At least four years of experience in radio communications

• Motorola ASTRO® 25 system training is advantageous

• Clean Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver’s License required

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
