We are seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to join our geophysical MRO team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the assembly, testing, and repairing of prototype and production of geophysical instruments.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assemble and test electronic PCBs
Assemble and test instruments (including wiring, mechanical assembly etc.)
Assist in the design and development of new electronic systems, instruments, and technologies for geophysical
research
Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with electronic systems and equipment
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all repair and maintenance activities
Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as needed
Requirements Diploma or higher in electronics or a related field
Experience as an Electronics Technician
Experience with electronics assembly (hand soldering and reflow surface mount PCBA, as well as through-hole
Strong knowledge of electronic principles and troubleshooting techniques
Proficiency with electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.
Ability to read and understand schematics and technical drawings
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
The ability and willingness to travel abroad to repair/troubleshoot equipment
