Apprentice Mechanic – 2 nd , 3 rd , or 4 th Year

SOUTHLAND Transportation has a current opening for an Apprentice Mechanic (Automotive or Heavy Duty) to join our operation in Saskatoon – 2 nd , 3 rd and 4 th Year levels considered. We offer personalized training, a comprehensive benefits plan, and flexibility within your personal life.

Key Responsibilities
- Ongoing maintenance/repair of buses
- Respond to breakdowns
- Spring and winter maintenance
- Complete all documentation associated with equipment repairs
- Work with shop management to maintain schedules and priorities
- Follow SOUTHLAND procedures and guidelines
Requirements
- Registered Apprentice Mechanic (Automotive or Heavy Duty); 2 nd , 3 rd and 4 th Year levels considered
- Clear criminal record
- Own hand tools
- Valid driver’s license (Class 2A ideal)
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Computer proficiency
- Some overtime/weekend availability is required based on business needs
