  • Maintain VFDs, motors, belts, air valves, and ductwork.
  • Service compressed air systems.
  • Repair fume hoods, perchloric scrubbers, and exhaust systems.
  • Maintain RO/DI water systems.
  • Ensure all work meets OEM specifications and industry standards.

  • Plan and prepare for AHU shutdowns (typically discouraged; 48‑hour prep required).
  • Maintain equipment in specialized radiological environments, including pressure and humidity sensors, wash‑down pumps, pH probes, and PLC‑controlled hood systems.
  • Wear required PPE (dosimeter badge, cotton clothing, mass spec protective gear).
  • Coordinate access with laboratory personnel; comply with radiation‑level restrictions.
  • Service rooftop trailers, exhaust stacks, and fume ventilation systems.
  • Grease bearings, replace belts (3‑month cycles), and maintain stainless‑steel exhaust motors.
  • Replace filters, bulbs, and components on annual or scheduled cycles.
  • Support quarterly water quality testing procedures.
  • Maintain laboratory airflow systems, positive/negative pressure balance, humidity controls, and HEPA seals.
  • Perform nuisance adjustments to airflow and pressure controls as required.
  • Inspect and update DI faucet hardware.
  • Monitor equipment performance, alarms, and environmental readings using Air Force–owned BAS.
  • Adjust, troubleshoot, and coordinate controls‑based maintenance tasks.
  • Provide daily on‑site presence as the contractor’s site representative.
  • Submit access requests (48‑hour, 72‑hour, 30‑day requirements depending on area).
  • Coordinate schedules with Flight Chief; adapt to frequent PM cancellations due to mission requirements.
Required Qualifications
  • Active Secret Clearance – needed prior to starting.
  • 3–5 years of experience in HVAC or mechanical system maintenance.
