Patriot Spares Contracts Manager Job Summary
Responsible for managing multiple contracts and negotiations for U.S. Patriot Programs & Integrated Patriot Product Teams. Leads the highly transactional Patriot Spares contracts area, ensuring product sustainment and spares for the Patriot Missile System. Works with cross‑functional teams to maintain contractual administration and compliance, support proposal development and negotiation of the Patriot Spares Catalog, manage obsolescence notification, customer delivery expectations, and contract closeout activities to meet Patriot warfighter needs.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development of proposals, negotiations, contractual agreements, contract execution, and day‑to‑day administration.
- Provide sound contract‑management communications to meet customer obligations, achieve company objectives, and comply with company policies.
- Effectively manage contractual scope and terms to ensure work is performed according to contract requirements.
- Develop and enhance positive customer relationships for resolving contractual matters.
- Communicate with senior leadership regarding strategic matters.
- Leverage relationships with Program Managers, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, and other functions to drive closure on complex contractual issues.
- Domestic travel may be required (approximately once or twice per year).
- University degree (or equivalent experience) with minimum 8 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with minimum 5 years of experience.
- Experience with Contracts Administration, Supply Chain Management/Administration.
- Experience with U.S. Government contracts, including negotiations and/or pricing.
- Experience with FAR and DFARS terms and conditions.
- Ability to work independently while also partnering with others in a team environment.
- Experience contracting through an IDIQ or Undefinitized Contract Actions (UCA).
- Excellent written, verbal communication and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop effective, sustaining relationships with external and internal customers.
- Experience handling multiple assignments concurrently.
