Job Description SummaryThe Charge Nurse 1 supports operational excellence by ensuring effective execution of charge nursing processes, which includes but is not limited to being accountable for enhancing workflows, patient safety measures, and team collaboration; providing mentorship and advanced problem‑solving in order to bridge complex clinical and operational challenges.
StrategicRoles & Responsibilities
30% of duties are strategic roles.
- Support the development and execution of midlevel strategic nursing initiatives
- Contribute to key organizational projects
- Participate in developing metrics and reporting on nursing outcomes
Roles & Responsibilities
70% of duties are operational roles.
- Supervise team performance and mentor staff members
- Address escalated issues and oversee patient care
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and hospital regulations
- Implement operational improvements in resource utilization and workflow efficiency
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to enhance service delivery and patient care outcomes
Bachelor’s degree in nursing is required.
Professional Certifications RequiredCurrent licensure as a professional registered nurse specialist. Certification in clinical specialty preferred.
Years of ExperienceMinimum 6 years of applicable experience.
