The Veterans Early Learning Center is seeking a compassionate, patient, and collaborative 1:1 Paraprofessional to provide individualized support to a first-grade student in a substantially separate classroom.

• Provide direct 1:1 support to a student in accordance with the student's Individualized Education Program (IEP) and instructional goals.
• Assist the student in accessing the curriculum through individualized instruction, accommodations, and modifications as directed by the classroom teacher.
• Support the student's social-emotional development by fostering positive peer interactions, encouraging independence, and reinforcing appropriate social skills.
• Implement behavior support strategies and individualized behavior plans with consistency and fidelity.
• Assist with the implementation of personalized visual schedules, routines, transitions, and organizational systems to promote student success throughout the school day.
• Collaborate closely with the classroom teacher, special education staff, related service providers, and administrators to ensure consistent implementation of instructional and behavioral supports.
• Collect observational and progress-monitoring data as requested by the classroom teacher.
• Support the student during classroom instruction, inclusion opportunities, specials, recess, lunch, and other school activities as assigned.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding student information and adhere to all district policies and procedures.
• Participate in professional development and team meetings as required.

• Associate's degree, completion of a paraprofessional certification program, or qualifications consistent with Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education requirements.
• Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly students with disabilities, is preferred.
• Knowledge of behavior support strategies, social-emotional learning, and individualized instructional practices is desirable.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Demonstrated patience, flexibility, reliability, and a commitment to supporting students with diverse learning needs.
