Position Title:

Manufacturing Scheduler

A growing precision manufacturing operation is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Scheduler to take ownership of its master production schedule and play a critical role in keeping customer orders, shop capacity, and production priorities aligned. This is a newly created position designed for someone who understands how a machine shop operates and can confidently manage scheduling across production, machining, purchasing, and other internal teams.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of hands‑on manufacturing scheduling experience, preferably within a machine shop or precision manufacturing environment. They are organized, proactive, and comfortable adjusting priorities in a fast‑paced operation where customer deadlines and production needs can change quickly.

Salary Range: $55,000–$100,000 / Year, DOE

Responsibilities
  • Own and manage the master production schedule across the manufacturing operation
  • Create and maintain production schedules based on customer requirements, available capacity, materials, and delivery timelines
  • Coordinate closely with production, machining, purchasing and other internal teams to keep jobs on schedule
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as priorities, capacity, or customer requirements change
  • Identify potential delays, capacity constraints, and scheduling conflicts and proactively develop solutions
  • Track job status and communicate scheduling updates to management and production teams
  • Prioritize work based on customer deadlines, shop capacity, and operational requirements
  • Maintain accurate scheduling and production records while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency
  • Gradually take full ownership of day‑to‑day scheduling while supporting broader operational needs
Requirements
  • 3+ years of manufacturing scheduling or production scheduling experience
  • Strong experience managing master production schedules
  • Hands‑on understanding of machining or manufacturing operations
  • Experience with capacity planning, production priorities, customer deadlines, and changing schedules
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Working proficiency with Microsoft Word
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
  • Stable work history with an interest in building a long‑term career
  • Machine shop or precision manufacturing experience strongly preferred
