Outpatient Registered Nurse - RN

Role Overview

This entry-level Registered Nurse (RN) position provides outpatient dialysis care, with responsibilities including patient assessment, treatment planning, medication administration, and patient education. The RN collaborates with the healthcare team, delegates tasks, and ensures safe and effective hemodialysis delivery.

• Perform patient data collection and adjust treatment plans accordingly
• Educate patients and families on treatment options and care needs
• Administer medications and respond to emergencies
• Assist with laboratory procedures and ensure accurate documentation
• Participate in staff training, quality improvement, and compliance with policies and regulations

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with valid state licensure
• CPR/BLS certification
• Less than 2 years of nephrology nursing experience; dialysis experience preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Involves heavy lifting, prolonged standing, and assisting with patient mobility in a healthcare setting. May require travel and exposure to infectious materials.

Provides oversight of patient care staff after completing required training and gaining experience in hemodialysis.
