Customer Service Rep, Retail Associate/ Customer Service
Compensation Range
Hourly pay: $15.00 - $20.00, with additional annual or quarterly performance premiums. Premiums may be determined by schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
Essential Job Functions- Follow and promote company customer service programs such as Hi‑5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, Rock the Lot.
- Greet retail and walk‑in customers in a friendly, courteous manner and assist them in selecting merchandise.
- Assist managers and installer service specialists with servicing professional customers as directed.
- Complete assigned company training relevant to the position.
- Answer store calls according to company policy, accurately look up parts and quote prices, recommend premium and related items, and offer the Low‑Price Guarantee.
- Maintain and secure the cash drawer, accept cash and/or checks, make change accurately, and process credit card transactions.
- Process exchanges and returns for credit in a friendly manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner.
- Assist with daily image maker and planogram updates, including freight receival, stocking shelves, fronting and facing, and cleaning.
- Prepare returns of new, core, and warranty merchandise to be shipped to the distribution center; assist with monthly stock adjustments and inventory cycle counts.
- Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after corresponding training and company requirements are completed.
- Perform in‑store services for customers as permitted by state and local laws, such as install wipers, test and charge batteries, test charging systems, scan vehicle trouble codes, and replace headlight capsules.
- Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle to make deliveries, provided driving records meet company requirements.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
- Provide outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service.
- Multitask handling customers on the phone and in the store simultaneously.
- Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service.
- Desired: ASE certification.
