Job OverviewAs a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organization and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and be the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations when needed. Occasionally you may work with other product lines in the stores you serve.
Salary and Schedule Details- Your starting hourly pay rate will be $15.75—$17.75 depending on skills and experience.
- We provide paid training, delivered through live, hands‑on instruction as well as virtual classroom training.

- This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
- Average weekly hours for this position are between 15 and 17 hours.
- Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
- Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
- Day‑to‑day engagement:
Use a mobile device provided by Hallmark to restock, organize, and monitor the inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. Communicate with your supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and complete required merchandising surveys. Maintain courteous and professional interaction with store employees, management, and customers. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at your assigned stores. - Holiday support:
During peak periods such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, you may work additional days and extended hours, including weekends and holidays themselves. - Department resets:
Participate in teams that build and install Hallmark fixtures, relocate card departments, and reset card sections. Typical assignments are notified two weeks in advance and may require evening or weekend work. - Team collaboration:
As part of Hallmark’s field organization, support other merchandisers in their territories when needed.
This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of energy and urgency. You will work on the sales floor as well as in back stockrooms, consistently pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds during the workday and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You will also kneel, squat, walk, stand, climb stairs, and use step ladders throughout the day.
BasicQualifications
- At least 18 years of age.
- Able to read, write, and understand English.
- Physically able to lift, pull, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Proficient in operating a digital handheld device to open, read documents, and interpret information.
- Access to Wi‑Fi and the internet.
- Consistent transportation available to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
