Position Overview
Part‑time Licensed Optician at Lens Crafters (Store #000866).
Responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and high‑quality eyewear, ensuring accurate fitting, prescription dispensing, technology use, and store standards.
Key Responsibilities- Welcome customers and set expectations.
- Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescription in lenses.
- Act as a leader in optical acumen.
- Take and record measurements, accurately adjust/fit eyewear with attention to detail to meet standards and customer needs.
- Assist team with complex product needs and prescriptions.
- Accurately and thoroughly use technology despite time pressure and customer volume, demonstrating exceptional product knowledge and appropriate tool use.
- Proactively explore root causes of issues, forward‑think, and ensure customer satisfaction and expectation exceedance.
- Multi‑task, prioritize, and manage time with competing priorities.
- Strive to achieve exceptional results on Brand KPIs and competencies.
- Take pride in store appearance; help keep store clean, attractive, and organized.
- Inform management of safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices.
- Resourceful, self‑motivated with a desire for continual learning, improvement, and results.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including discounts, promotions, and inventory management.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- State licensure.
- Optical dispensing experience.
- Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener, and team builder.
- Knowledge of current store merchandise.
- Strong basic math skills.
- Awareness of current fashion trends.
- Sales skills – ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet.
- Familiarity with POS, computers, and calculators.
- Embrace new technology and change.
- Previous customer service and retail experience.
Pay Range: $23.97–$37.39 per hour. Bonus and commission plans may complement the base pay. Benefits include health care, retirement savings, paid time off/vacation, and various employee discounts.
