Compensation Pay Range: $15.00 - $20.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly, performance, or premiums that may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
ESSENTIALJOB FUNCTIONS
- Drive a company vehicle to deliver parts and products to stores and/or the distribution center.
- Possess a legal state driver’s license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements.
- Pick up and sign for stock transfers at each stop on the set route; deliver to the appropriate store.
- Maintain a daily city route manifest for deliveries.
- Keep the fleet/fuel card, vehicle, and keys secure.
- Familiarize yourself with accident report guidelines.
- Ensure a designated team member at each store verifies all invoices and signs the route manifest.
- Deliver according to the set schedule and report any delays to the city delivery supervisor and/or remaining stores on the route.
- Project a professional and personable image to maintain good customer relations.
- Communicate any problems or special needs from stores to store management.
- Clock in/out in accordance with company policy.
- Check fluid levels (oil, radiator, transmission, etc.) and log mileage before operating the vehicle each day.
- Report vehicle maintenance needs immediately to the store manager.
- Ensure the fuel tank is filled, lock, and secure the vehicle at the end of the day’s business.
- Drive safely and defensively at all times.
- Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
- Good interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
- Driving record must meet the standard set in the company’s 14/18-point record system.
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
