WORK HOURS:
7.25 hours per day, Monday through Friday for 202 days per year (primarily during the school year). Opportunity for part-time work during summer school.
JOB DUTIES:
- Provide general office support as well as knowledgeable, professional administrative services to students, families and staff in the STEPS Program in an efficient, timely, and courteous manner.
- Schedule and support families during in-take meetings with STEPS teachers.
- Participate in weekly collaborative team meetings.
- Data entry through Skyward student information system, including attendance hours, membership hours, and grades.
- Ability to work with data and spreadsheets, verification of data, preparing reports, creating templates, and filing information.
- Process and maintain work program paperwork.
- Oversee the STEPS Adopt a Family Project (community giving project).
- Organize college visit field trips.
- Process and maintain attendance rosters and CLP's (Continual Learning Plans) and submit to Joint Powers.
- In addition to regular responsibilities, cross-training in other office clerical duties will be provided.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with computer word processing, spreadsheets, Google docs, and various software applications
- Able to multi-task and work effectively with co-workers, parents, students, community members, and staff
- Attention to detail and accuracy while meeting deadlines
- High school diploma/GED required
- Post-secondary education and previous experience are preferred
SALARY and BENEFITS:
Salary based on experience and the Administrative Assistant and Cashier Employees Agreement Level AA2 from $20.22 up to $26.70 per hour*.
* Rates subject to change upon ratification and School Board approval of the School Support Employee Agreement.
