Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and highly-skilled Superintendent to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work with a construction firm that values innovation, collaboration, and excellence. Our ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with a robust understanding of the construction industry, possessing a strong background in managing subcontractors, reading blueprints, contract management, scheduling, quality control, and safety management.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and coordinating the activities of construction teams and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with building and safety codes.
• Reviewing and interpreting project blueprints, plans, and specifications to determine the layout and sequence of activities.
• Managing contracts and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Developing and implementing project schedules, coordinating work activities, and monitoring progress.
• Ensuring quality control measures are in place and adhered to, consistently delivering projects of the highest standards.
• Implementing and enforcing safety policies and procedures, ensuring all work is conducted in a safe and efficient manner.
• Resolving any on-site issues or disputes, ensuring smooth project execution.
• Conducting regular site inspections and providing regular progress reports to senior management.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a construction superintendent role.
• Proven experience in subcontractor management, blueprint reading, contract management, scheduling, quality control, and safety management.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve conflicts and issues promptly and effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
• Proficient in construction software programs.
• A thorough understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
• Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Relevant certifications such as OSHA training, First Aid/CPR, and a valid driver’s license are advantageous.
