This position is responsible for safely supervising and coordinating activities of the project in asphalt paving, grading, milling, and concrete production.
- Gravel Base – oversee efficiency of gravel/base operation and produce quality.
- Milling – oversee efficiency of milling operation and base jobs to produce quality gravel/base product.
- Paving – oversee efficiency of paving operation to produce quality asphalt product.
- Equipment – oversee quality and efficiency of equipment maintenance.
DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES
Gravel Base
Communicate gravel/base crew needs with dispatch.Communicate needs with plant.Work with crews, inspectors, and subcontractors to complete projects.Complete quality gravel/base jobs within specifications.Complete necessary paperwork.Deliver samples to lab.Milling

Communicate paving crew needs with dispatch and calculate the number of trucks required based on capacity of vehicles, traffic conditions, distance from work site and productivity of drivers.Communicate needs to plant.Work with crews, inspectors, and subcontractors to complete projects.Produce quality asphalt product within specifications.Tour work site to ascertain progress in meeting time schedules and to detect insufficient utilization of workers and equipment.Measure slope and thickness of paving to verify compliance.Measure distances from reference points to locate boundaries of construction.Direct work crews engaged in operation of vehicles and verify curvature of graded surface using hand level.Supervise bituminous paving crews, aggregate production crews or crews engaged in operating machines to tamp, roll and smooth surface for subgrade of highway.All

Over 2 years up to and including 4 years from post‑high school work, military, institutional or vocational environment.Minimum 3 years of experience in product line and supervisory role.Ability to provide and maintain proper licensure, medical card and acceptable driving record.PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Paving Supervisor experience preferred.CDL preferred.COMPENSATION
$2,600 to $3,000 per week.
