Operations Manager, Program / Project Manager
Knife River is a publicly traded company and one of the 10 largest construction materials producers/contractors in the U.S. This position leads regional aggregates operations, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking, focusing on safety, efficiency, and commercial excellence.
WageWage Starting: $140,000
Minimum Requirements- Bachelor's degree in mining, construction, engineering, or a related field with seven years of progressively responsible management experience in a construction materials setting.
- Experience working and managing aggregate production facilities.
- Proficient knowledge in computer skills and computer software related to the construction materials industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, lead, and mentor others.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including making presentations.
- Advanced degree in mining, construction, engineering, or a related field with ten years of experience in a construction materials setting.
- Significant knowledge of construction materials operations with a strong emphasis on math and analytical skills.
- Develop and coordinate operational and commercial aggregates plans throughout the region.
- Develop, implement, track, and coordinate key performance indicators for aggregates sales and operations throughout the region.
- Work with regional leadership to support and promote key corporate safety, operational, and commercial goals throughout the region.
- Work with regional leadership to support customer focus, quality standards, and margin expansion through dynamic pricing.
- Engage in corporate strategic integration of growth opportunities within the region.
- Develop and maintain working relationships with major vendors and coordinate vendor alignment throughout the region.
- Provide leadership and vision to foster employee growth and retention.
- Travel on short notice and for extended periods.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation).
- Strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of computer systems and software.
- Ability to work independently and under time constraints.
