Job Description
This position partners cross‑functionally with internal engineering, manufacturing teams, and external customers to drive quality from concept through production. The NPI Quality Engineer focuses on risk identification and mitigation, process validation, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure product performance, reliability, and compliance with customer and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement risk mitigation tools including PFMEA, Process Flow Diagrams, and Inspection Plans.
- Support qualification activities such as PPAP, FAI, and FAIR (AS9102).
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts using 8D, 5 Whys, CAPA.
- Analyze returned products and generate detailed failure analysis reports.
- Apply statistical process control methods to monitor and improve processes.
- Collaborate with customer Quality and NPI Engineering teams.
- Participate in development and implementation of quality assurance standards.
- Prepare and present reports summarizing quality performance and activities.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Minimum 5 years of quality engineering or related experience.
- Experience with test strategy development, planning, and execution.
- Knowledge of ISO and AS9100 standards.
- Experience with root cause analysis methodologies (8D, CAPA, 5 Whys).
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Understanding of statistical process control techniques.
- Experience with Agile systems preferred.
- ASQ Certification (CQE, CQA) preferred.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to resolve complex issues creatively.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
- Strong collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.

The pay range for this position is $86,300 – $130,000 per year. Pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job‑related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure, and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs.
