Our season starts in April and runs through November, with the possibility of extending into December. As a seasonal team member, you’ll enjoy winters off to travel, hunt, fish, or pursue the activities you love—while still keeping your benefits all year long.

Will be trained to operate machines that convey, wash, crush & screen aggregates to produce quality sand & gravel at maximum production levels. Will be trained to operate & maintain a front end loader to lift and transport aggregates to feed conveyors, hoppers or to load trucks as needed or provide back up support to scale house operator when needed. May be responsible to conduct fabrication and maintenance on aggregate processing equipment as required.

Duties

and/or Responsibilities
  • Perform daily equipment, walk around and site inspections to identify and correct any unsafe conditions.
  • Keep aggregate processing equipment properly maintained including periodic and routine maintenance activities (i.e., lubricating, fueling and cleaning).
  • Fabricate machine parts as needed.
  • With training, safely and properly operate crusher and loader.
  • With training, identify appropriate material to produce quality aggregate material per job specifications.
  • With training, communicate with quality control personnel and make required adjustments to material blends.
  • Shovel excess material away from crusher or screen unit as needed to keep work area clean and safe from hazards.
  • Accurately complete crushing reports and other documentation as needed.
  • Ensure MSHA, EPA, safety and environmental regulation compliance.
  • Provide back up to Scale house operator when needed.
  • Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.). Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors.
  • Always work safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes, and behaviors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements

As a successful Crusher / Washplant / Loader Operator you will have:

  • Ability to hold and maintain a driver’s license in accordance with all state regulations
  • Knowledge of or past experience in equipment maintenance and operation
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime, possible nights and some Saturdays
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
Preferred Requirements
  • Experience in fabrication preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work under high stress situations.
  • Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others.
  • Proven experience handling multiple projects and priorities while maintaining tight deadlines; highly organized with attention to detail.
Compensation

Wage range $25-$35 per hour depending on experience.
