Machinist - 2nd Shift

Ichor Systems has an immediate opening for a Machinist 2 at our Sauk Rapids, MN facility. The ideal candidate will bring strong machining experience, a commitment to quality, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment.

• Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
• Measure, mark, and scribble dimensions and reference points on material or workpiece as guides for subsequent machining.
• Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers.
• Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth and angle of cut, or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
• Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine controls or control media as required.
• Verify conformance of finished workpiece to specifications using various measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and depth micrometers. Familiarity with CMM, GD&T, and SPC.
• Set up and operate machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.
• Confere with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems.
• Complete the necessary paperwork and computer entry steps.
• Other duties may be assigned.

• Can perform basic set‑ups on multiple machines.
• Ability to train CNC Operators and Machinists I on routine tasks.
• Developing proficiency with complex setups.
• Ability to perform intermediate troubleshooting procedures.
• Proficient with part inspection techniques (comparator, profilometer, etc.).
• 2‑year machining degree preferred.
• Must have 3+ years of experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

The pay range for this position is $19.09 - $32.45 per hour plus 10% differential. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job‑related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure, and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs.
