Job Description

Ichor Systems has an immediate opening for a Weld Operator located in Sauk Rapids, MN.

• 1st Shift, Monday-Thursday, 5:00am-3:00pm
• 2nd Shift, Monday-Thursday, 3:00pm-1:00am with a 10% differential
• Weekend Day Shift, Friday-Sunday 5:00am-5:00pm with a 15% differential

• Running of various welding machines, including hand welding, TIG welding, and orbital welding of stainless steel and other high purity materials.
• Execute all of Ichor’s Standard Operating Procedures related to manufacturing duties.
• Study of prints, drawings, and specifications to complete finished welds and layout of tasks using specialized computer welding equipment.
• Process and inspect work in accordance with prints.
• Perform a sequence of operations, consistently maintaining the performance level set for quality and quantity.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Basic PC skills for manufacturing.
• Experience working in a high‑purity clean room environment.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Visual acuity and manual dexterity.
• Handle fragile products, perform repetitive tasks, and demonstrate safety awareness.
• Use all approved hand gauges to inspect component quality at the work center.
• Exercise discretion and independent judgment.
• Sit, stand, walk, bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Read and comprehend technical drawings, correspondence, and documents.
• Perform basic math using whole numbers, common fractions, percentages, and decimals.
• Communicate verbally and in writing with supervisors, leads, and peers.
• Recognize deviations from accepted practices.
• Basic understanding of related mechanics, flow control elements, and MRP concepts. 3–4+ years manufacturing or related work experience – semiconductor industry preferred.
• Commitment to quality, customer‑focused mindset internally and externally.
• Successful completion of a 2‑year professional trade program in Welding Technology or equivalent – or currently enrolled.
• Basic math, blueprint reading, and weld‑to‑print skills.
• 3+ years of work experience performing TIG welding of stainless steel or fewer experience with a Welding technology degree (or currently enrolled in Welding Technology Degree program).

For candidates based in Minnesota: the pay range is $19.09–$32.45 hourly, non‑exempt plus a 15% shift differential.
