The Evening Supervisor utilizes a company van to visit homes and provide supervision presence in the evenings and early night hours. This position is responsible to ensure staff are present at the site, engaging with the persons served, and that our Direct Support Professionals understand the routine of the home and the support plans. The Evening Supervisor ensures compliance with all aspects of the program related to the persons served, the Organization, the employees, and property.

Schedule includes the majority of work hours being later than 2p and includes shifts every other weekend.

Depending on the needs of the person, the work may include performing the tasks completely for others, or it may be assisting in the completion of the tasks.   • Maintain knowledge of the Direct Support Professional job description. Perform, train, and oversee all of the duties of that position. Ensure that new staff know how to do the duties of their position, and ensure that all staff are completing their job tasks.
  • Teach and retrain as needed, role model the expectations by working beside others.
  • Ensure staff engagement with the persons served. Phones are put away and staff are working. If staff need direction, ask what the persons served are currently doing and help the staff determine what they should be doing in accordance with the routine and support plans.
  • Communicate with and assist other staff positively and professionally.
  • Act as an appropriate role model for persons served and staff.
  • Communicate info to the PC/PM/PD of persons served and staff situations, discipline, retraining, and coaching to ensure needs of the Organization are met.
  • Train and certify new employees on Medication Administration procedures, observe and perform the passing of medications, check MARs to ensure process is being followed and coach employees regarding the process.
  • Foster a positive living environment for persons served and a positive working environment for staff. Teach new staff how to do this, ensure long term staff are doing this.
  • Build and maintain rapport with personss served, their support teams, staff, co-workers and Org leadership.
  • Actively supervise staff to ensure programs are implemented and the tasks at the site are being completed. Deliver disciplinary action if needed. Provide on-the-spot feedback.
  • Maintain records, documents, charts, and persons served information, legibly. Ensure staff are recording information in an accurate and timely manner. Check the records and coach staff that need improvements and suggestions.
  • Ensure meal plans are being followed. Teach and model cooking to staff during mealtimes. Ensure that the staff are supporting the persons served to prepare meals if they are able to do so.
  • Assist with and complete duties that need to be done at the home, following Organization policies and procedures.
  • Be able to pivot and move to different sites as needed and start working/coaching.
  • Help fill shifts when on duty and assist with calling/texts to fill openings.
  • Immediately respond and address emergency situations.
  • Ensure there is adequate shift coverage at all times. This may include, but is not limited to, staying beyond a scheduled shift or covering/splitting open shifts with DSPFT and/or other Direct Support Staff.
  • Complete and submit reports in a timely manner, including but not limited to Incident Reports, First Reports of Injury, Vehicle Accident or Incident Reports. Teach new staff how to do this, ensure long term staff are doing this, and provide direct…
