Sauk Rapids Recreation is seeking Lifeguards as well as instructors for the following activities:
- Baseball/Softball
- Basketball
- Cross Country/Track
- Dance
- Football
- Golf
- Gymnastics
- Speed & Strength
- Soccer
- Swim Club & Diving
- Swimming Lessons
- Tennis
- Volleyball
- Wrestling

WORK HOURS:
Hours vary depending on season and activity.

JOB DUTIES:
Lifeguard:
Monitor people in and around the pool area, maintain strict enforcement of pool rules in a polite and courteous manor, assist people in the water in need of help, and maintain a professional working relationship with fellow lifeguard staff, supervisors and the public.

Activity Instructors:
Responsible for organizing practices and games, engaging and encouraging participants, teaching skills and fundamentals of the activity, providing leadership and teaching good sportsmanship.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Lifeguards:
- Must hold Lifeguard and CPR certifications
- Must be up to date with the most recent Red Cross emergency procedures

Activity Instructors:
- Previous experience working with school-age children (K-4th grade) is preferred
- Knowledge, skills, and experience with any, or all, of the activities listed above
- Ability to work confidently and responsibly while independent with little supervision
- Ability to be professional with children, school staff, and parents
- Desire and ability to give students an environment conducive to learning and enrichment

SALARY and BENEFITS:
Starting rate of $12.00 to $18.50 per hour based on experience and position.
Earned Sick & Safe Time (in accordance with MN Statute 181.9446)
