Feed Mill Shavings Driver

Pilgrim’s wants YOU to join our team as a Shavings Driver. This position starts at $26.66/hour plus $1/hour shift differential and offers a $4/hour perfect attendance bonus that is paid out weekly.

The Shavings Driver is responsible for the proper scheduling, delivery of the shavings, and the safe and efficient driving of the truck.

• Operates shaving truck in a safe and efficient manner.
• Performs equipment inspections in accordance with company guidelines and equipment operating instructions. Reports all problems with equipment operation and/or trucks and transportation to immediate supervisor.
• Performs minor maintenance on equipment as directed.
• Assists in loading of truck as required.
• Communicates effectively with Supervisor and coordinates scheduling changes with production coordinator, growers and vendor.
• Reviews production problems and makes reports and recommendations to supervisor.
• Will be available for other trucking as directed (hauling waste water, further processing product, etc.).
• Assists Supervisor personnel in scheduling and optimize equipment use.
• Fills in in the Parts Department and Feed Mill as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Working knowledge of driving and traffic rules
• Working skills to drive a truck safely with a minimum of one year of experience with a manual endorsement
• Working ability to climb structures 20 feet high
• Flexibility to work other shifts as necessary
• Valid Class A Driver’s License with a Manual Endorsement
• Preference given to applicants with an agricultural background
