Role OverviewAs a Senior Tax Planning Advisor, you will play a critical role in providing proactive tax strategies to minimize clients' future tax liabilities. This role involves a year‑round monitoring of clients' tax situations to ensure timely tax projections and informed decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough analyses of clients' tax liabilities.
- Prepare accurate tax projections in advance of filing.
- Efficiently prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Prepare and deliver informative presentations for clients and prospects.
- Develop and maintain a robust client base.
- Promote and sell tailored tax planning solutions.
- Engage in meetings and ongoing education to stay current in the field.
- Collaborate with a team of financial professionals to adopt a holistic approach in client service.
- Adhere to industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Represent clients before the IRS and state revenue departments.
- Complete any additional tasks as assigned.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Strong sense of accountability and professionalism.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other basic computer applications.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in tax return preparation for individuals.
- Preferred qualifications include Enrolled Agent or Certified Public Accountant licensure.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly driven, self‑motivated individual.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities, work ethic, and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Experience with CCH Axcess Software is a plus.
