Position: Temp - RN - OR (Days) Sault St. Marie MI
Location: Sault Ste. Marie

Facility Specific Requirement:Cannot accept local candidates that live within 100 miles of the facility.

This position is responsible for assessing the needs of each patient before and during a surgical procedure, and maintains patient safety. The RN outlines individual care plans, implements, evaluates and documents care of patient during surgical procedures. Provides leadership to the OR team. Communicates with the patient and family, OR team, supervisor, manager and ancillary departments. Participates in staff development through preceptorship and continuing education

(40%)
* Assesses the needs of the surgical patient and develops a plan of care specific for that patient. Implements and evaluates the plan of care during the procedure, and makes necessary adjustments keeping patient safety a priority.

(30%)
* Supervises activity in the room. Anticipates and coordinates any schedule changes for the room. Assembles equipment and supplies. Assists anesthesia as necessary. Monitors sterile field.

(20%)
* Communicates with patient, family, physician, OR team, supervisor/manager, and ancillary departments.

(10%)
* Participates in staff development by attending in-services, educational meetings, staff meetings, and other meetings/seminars for educational opportunity along with leadership and growth opportunity.

• SCHEDULE IS NOT FLEXIBLE! PLEASE ENSURE YOUR TRAVELER CAN WORK 8 Hour Days.
• Recent travel experience - Highly Preferred
• Must live 100+ miles from facility address
  - Required

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :

• ACLS (AHA)
• BLS (AHA)

STATE LICENSE REQUIREMENTS :

• Michigan

ADDITIONAL LICENSE REQUIREMENTS :
Must have an active MI RN license at time of submission.
Weekend Requirements :

On Call Requirements :
Weeknight call once a week, , weekend call every 6th weekend, 1515 Friday through 0645 Monday.
