Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to oversee nursing operations at a 106-bed skilled nursing facility
. This leadership role requires prior Director of Nursing (DON) or equivalent supervisory experience in a skilled nursing facility (no exceptions). A $20,000 sign-on bonus is available (limited time, two-year payout). - The Director of Nursing manages the facility's nursing program in compliance with the Nurse Practice Act, state and federal regulations, and organizational policies.

- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing BSN Preferred
. - Active RN license in the state of employment.
- Valid CPR certification.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, or equivalent supervisory role in a skilled nursing facility.
- Conduct daily rounds to assess resident care and staff performance.
- Oversee hiring, training, evaluations, and disciplinary actions for nursing staff.
- Develop and manage staffing schedules to meet facility needs.
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, policies, and regulatory standards.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and participate in facility committees.
- Monitor department budget, control expenses, and maintain fiscal responsibility.
- Investigate and resolve resident, family, and employee concerns promptly.
- Facilitate staff development through training, competency evaluations, and recognition programs.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation in a timely manner.
- Serve as acting Administrator in their absence.
- Ensure timely follow-up on pharmacy, dietary, and physician consultations.
- Strong leadership and team motivation skills.
- Excellent communication with residents, families, and staff at all levels.
- Ability to make quick, decisive actions in emergencies.
- Proficient in organizational and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of state/federal nursing regulations and best practices.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
