Job Summary
This full‑time Transport Driver position at Sault Sainte Marie Area Public Schools (867 Marquette Avenue, Sault Sainte Marie, MI 49783) requires a driver with prior commercial driving experience. The role operates a company‑owned vehicle, delivers products, and follows an established school‑year route schedule. Pay range is $19.00 to $22.00 per hour.
Key Responsibilities- Respond quickly to transport requests with a sense of urgency, meeting delivery time goals.
- Follow department protocols and use the dispatch system appropriately.
- Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations.
- Complete necessary logs and reports.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Report or resolve vehicle, building, security, or safety issues to management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma, GED preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Effective verbal and listening communication skills, with a service/quality focus.
- Valid driver’s license and safe operation of company vehicles.
- Florida Level 2 background screening may be required for certain positions (details: ).

Because this position requires you to perform services in an educational facility, there may be periods when the Company does not require you to perform work (such as winter and summer breaks).
