Job Description The OpportunityAs our Master Electrician / Electrical Division Lead, you'll work alongside ownership to develop a full-service electrical operation serving both residential and commercial customers.
Initially, the electrical division will complement our established HVAC and mechanical operations while developing its own service, installation and project customer base.
You'll have the opportunity to help establish our electrical standards, workflows, equipment requirements and future team.
Responsibilities- Residential and commercial electrical service, installation and repair
- Electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Electrical panels and service upgrades
- Residential and commercial renovations
- New construction electrical
- Commercial tenant improvements
- Electrical distribution and equipment installations
- Single-phase and three-phase electrical systems
- HVAC and heat pump electrical installations
- Electric and heat-pump water heater circuits
- Commercial HVAC equipment electrical
- EV charger installations
- Generator installations and related electrical work
- Dedicated circuits and equipment connections
- Lighting installations and upgrades
- Electrical modernization and replacement projects
- Obtain and manage ESA notifications/permits as required
- Ensure work complies with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code and applicable requirements
- Coordinate electrical work with our HVAC and mechanical teams
- Assist with estimating and planning electrical projects
- Maintain accurate job and customer documentation
- Help establish material, equipment and installation standards
- Help determine electrical vehicle, tool and inventory requirements
- Assist with recruiting, training and supervising future electrical apprentices and electricians
- Help develop the electrical division as demand and staffing increase
The position will be based from Blind River, Ontario, with work throughout surrounding North Shore and Algoma communities including Elliot Lake, Thessalon, Iron Bridge, Spanish, Massey, Espanola and surrounding areas.

Required SkillsWhat We're Looking For
We're looking for an experienced electrician who takes pride in their workmanship and wants the opportunity to play an important role in building a new division.
Required- Valid Ontario 309A Construction & Maintenance Electrician Certificate of Qualification
- Valid Ontario Master Electrician licence
- Strong knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code
- Residential and/or commercial electrical experience
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
- Valid Ontario's driver's licence
- Ability to work independently and make sound field decisions
- Professional communication with customers, contractors and other trades
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Interest in helping develop and lead an electrical division
- Commercial electrical experience
- Three-phase electrical experience
- Electrical service and panel upgrade experience
- HVAC and heat pump electrical experience
- Generator installation experience
- EV charger experience
- Commercial renovation and tenant-improvement experience
- New construction experience
- Experience supervising apprentices or other electricians
- Electrical estimating or project-management experience
- Experience working with ESA
- Familiarity with field-service CRMs such as Jobber
This isn't intended to be simply another electrician position.
We're looking for someone who wants to help build the electrical side of the company.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to provide input on how the division operates, including tooling, vehicles, inventory, installation standards, estimating, scheduling and future staffing.
As the division grows, this position has the potential to develop into a larger leadership role overseeing electrical projects, apprentices, additional electricians and day-to-day electrical operations.
We want the person who helps us build the division to have a voice in how it develops.
