Salary Range: $60,000.00 To $70,000.00 Annually

Road Machinery & Supplies Co. (RMS) is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our corporate accounting team in Savage, Minnesota. In this role you'll take an active part in the month-end close, prepare journal entries and account reconciliations, analyze financial information, and help improve accounting processes and reporting. You'll gain hands‑ons experience with modern ERP technology and Microsoft Excel while working alongside experienced professionals on a collaborative team that supports operations across multiple RMS locations.

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Assist with the monthly and year-end financial close process.
• Reconcile bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts.
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
• Analyze financial information and support special accounting projects.
• Partner with branch personnel to resolve accounting questions.
• Use ERP systems and Microsoft Excel to prepare analyses and strengthen accounting processes.
• Support audits and financial reporting requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes through automation and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required (or expected prior to start date).
• 0–3 years of accounting experience, including internships, is preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to organize, analyze, and interpret financial data. Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Integrity, professionalism, and commitment to confidentiality.

• Hands‑on corporate accounting experience across multiple business locations.
