Position Title

Special Education Teacher - ALC Summer School

Location

Hidden Valley Elementary School

Responsibilities

Duties may include student intervention support, classroom support and small group instructional support. The ALC grades K‑2nd summer program is located at Hidden Valley Elementary School and grades 3‑5 at Eagle Ridge Middle School.

Schedule

Daily schedule:
Approximately 7:30 am – 3:00 pm Monday through Friday

  • June 10 and 11 – Teacher PD Days: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
  • Week 1:
    June 15‑18
  • Week 2:
    June 22‑25
  • Week 3:
    June 29, July 1‑2
  • Week 4:
    July 6‑9
  • Week 5:
    July 13‑16
  • Week 6:
    July 20‑23
  • Week 7:
    July 27‑30
Student Schedule
  • Bus Drop off Time: 7:30‑7:45
  • Breakfast: 7:30‑8:00
  • Lunch: 11:15‑12:30
  • Bus Pick Up Time: 2:45‑3:00
  • Student Class

    Schedule:

    8:00‑2:45
Requirements
  • Current SPED Teaching License
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preference given to candidates committing to the entire six weeks
  • Experience teaching elementary summer school
  • Experience with Project‑Based Learning at the elementary level
  • Experience utilizing data to inform instruction

Note:

Job shares may be possible depending upon schedule and need.

Compensation

Per contract $32.25 hourly. Total teacher pay for the school summer program is approximately $7,288 for 30 days. Summer hours are not guaranteed and reductions may occur based upon enrollment.
