Buyer - Mobile Hydraulics (Industrial Distribution

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of procurement processes to maximize on‑time delivery and maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Maintain inventory master data and warehouse records in our Trend system.
• Communicate effectively with suppliers and manage the supply chain process in line with Sun Source “Best Practices.”
• Process supplier returns and credits for defective, obsolete, or excess materials.
• Collaborate with your team to proactively manage excess and obsolete inventory.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between Sun Source and our suppliers.
• Schedule and organize cadence and escalation meetings as needed.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to strengthen procurement expertise.

• High School Diploma required;
  Associate degree or higher preferred.
• 1+ year of experience in procurement, inventory control, or a similar role.
• Experience in industrial distribution or manufacturing preferred.
• Familiarity with hydraulic, fluid power, or off‑highway mobile equipment components a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
• Eagerness to learn complex processes and grow within a dynamic team environment.
• Primarily a seated, office‑based role (more than 50% of the workday).
• Occasional walking and standing required.
• Ability to use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary.
