Machine Set-Up Assistant

We're seeking a motivated Machine Set-Up Assistant to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. In this hands-on role, you'll be a key player in ensuring smooth production flow by preparing machines, supplying parts, and supporting operators across departments. This is a great opportunity for someone mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and eager to learn and grow in a dynamic work environment.

• Supply production lines with the necessary parts to maintain a continuous workflow
• Cross-train on various machines and departments to fill in as needed
• Change tooling and assist with machine setup
• Perform frequent quality checks and maintain accurate, traceable documentation
• Inspect specifications and work orders for accuracy
• Diagnose issues and troubleshoot equipment as required
• Communicate effectively with manufacturing staff and management
• Use reasoning and sound judgment to solve problems on the floor
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Follow safety protocols and support improvement suggestions
• Work with hand tools (wrenches, impact drivers, etc.) and possibly load machinery
• Support team lifting of up to 100 lbs
• Walk the shop floor to check in with operators and follow up on tasks
• Participate in additional duties and special projects as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with basic hand tools
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and technical specs
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Able to prioritize, multitask, and remain calm under pressure
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Willingness to work overtime and adapt to a flexible schedule
• Capable of performing repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods
• Team player with a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn
