Village Green Landscapes is currently looking for full-time Lawn Maintenance Crew Leads at our St. Paul, Brooklyn Park and Savage locations. Hiring immediately for the upcoming season.

Pay Range: $22.00 - $27.00 DOE

Benefits: Paid Sick Time. Possibility for full-time year-round employment if candidate is interested in commercial snow removal in the winter months. Full-time Benefits eligibility with year round employment.

The Lawn Maintenance Crew Lead is responsible for onsite leadership of a lawn maintenance crew. They ensure the crew is informed regarding assigned jobs. They are the face of the company and key contact for the customer during the lawn maintenance season.

• Responsible for on-site supervision of a lawn maintenance crew
• Demonstrates safe and proficient operation and maintenance of all equipment used for lawn maintenance
• Provides training and mentorship to lawn maintenance crew to ensure success
• Plan, schedule, and supervise all assigned jobs
• Ensures safety procedures are followed, accidents and workers’ compensation claims are properly documented and reported
• Meets timelines and quality standards for all deliverables including record keeping and process change orders
• Performs preventative maintenance on equipment per company policy
• Ensures safe and clean work environment is maintained by all team members
• Strong customer communication skills; both interactional and follow through
• Demonstrates leadership skills that drive a high performing team
• Proficient in the use of various operating systems and technology to track and report jobs
• Works collaboratively with the team and company leadership
• Demonstrates timely and effective communication- verbal, non-verbal, and written
• Demonstrates high quality decision making in a fast paced and quickly evolving environment

Required

• Minimum of 1+ years/seasons of lawn maintenance team lead experience
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Valid DOT card or ability to obtain one
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.

Preferred

• Commercial Pesticide Applicator license for core (A) and turf & ornaments (E)
