Overview
Purpose/
Summary:
Lead auger crew members safely run jobsite operations.
- Work concurrently with crew to complete job while supervising work
- Ensure that established safety procedures are followed
- Provide work direction, and promote teamwork, amongst the crew members
- Daily logging and review of crew members hours to ensure payroll accuracy
- Represent the company on, and off, job sites and communicate effectively with general contractor and sub-contractors
- Implement company policies and procedures to ensure work performance is in compliance with ISO and OSHA standards, and DOT regulations
- Complete new hire paperwork for local union members when required
- Provide daily reporting via tablet as required to administrative personnel as required
- Interface for internal and external customers to ensure satisfactory completion of the job
- Communicates all problems to the superintendent in a timely manner
- Verify auger details prior to starting the job
- Inspection of augers prior to use
- Brace and auger maintenance as required
- Verify ground locates have been completed prior to auger installation
- Complete layouts of drawings as required for auger installation
- Complete work in a manner that minimizes cleanup work
- Valid commercial driver’s license (class
A) - Minimum of two years’ experience of commercial driving experience
- Experience operating a skid steer
Required Qualifications
- Computer skills
- Ability to use construction mensuration equipment (i.e. transits, levels, and laser levels)
- Ability to work well with others and maintain professional conduct at all times
- Possess excellent work habits and be able to demonstrate them to subordinates
- Knowledge of crane set-up and signaling
- Knowledgeable about all aspects of erecting pre-cast buildings
- Ability to effectively communicate with personnel at different levels
- Ability to foresee potential problems and take necessary action to prevent the problems from occurring
- Ability to work in an organized manner and adapt readily to change
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- Completion of OSHA 30-hour
- Ability to travel when required
- Ability to work extensive overtime when required
- Ability to work from heights
- Field:
Must be able to traverse uneven ground, move a minimum of 50 lbs., spatial awareness/depth perception, climb on a flatbed semi-trailer
- Field:
All types of weather conditions (year-round, Mid-west and Northeast), dirt/dust, noise from heavy machinery/vehicles
