Aboutthe role
The Accounting Generalis supports the day-to-day financial operations of the property, ensuring accuracy, organization, and timely processing across core accounting functions. This role works closely with the Accounting and operational teams in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.
The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, dependable, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities while supporting routine accounting tasks and reporting needs. This position is well‑suited for someone early in their accounting career who is eager to grow their knowledge, strengthen their technical skills, and contribute to a collaborative, operationally driven team.
What you’ll do- Support the accounting team with day-to-day financial and administrative tasks
- Assist with invoice review for accuracy, approvals, and proper coding
- Help process accounts payable, vendor statement reconciliations, and payment preparation
- Perform daily cash, credit card, and deposit reconciliations
- Monitor vendor aging and help resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal teams
- Respond to routine accounting inquiries from department leaders
- Support internal controls and cash handling procedures
- Assist with departmental expense tracking and basic reporting
- Provide support during audits and special projects as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 0–2 years of accounting or finance experience preferred
- Hospitality or hotel experience preferred
- Familiarity with basic accounting principles and financial processes
- Experience with accounting or ERP systems (e.g., hotel systems or AP platforms) preferred
- Strong Excel skills (basic formulas, spreadsheets, data organization)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced, operational environment
- Clear communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally with non‑finance leaders
- Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods
