Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Savannah, Georgia. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to key accounting functions while working in a dynamic and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in financial processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all aspects of accounting operations.

Responsibilities:

- Manage month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial statements.

- Oversee general ledger activities, maintaining precise records and resolving discrepancies.

- Prepare and post journal entries to support accurate financial reporting.

- Perform account reconciliations to maintain balance sheet integrity and ensure compliance.

- Conduct bank reconciliations to verify cash balances and identify any discrepancies.

- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting operations and improve efficiency.

- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.

- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

- Assist in audits by preparing necessary documentation and supporting audit activities. Requirements - Proven experience in month-end close processes and financial reporting.

- Strong knowledge of general ledger operations and accounting principles.

- Proficiency in preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts.

- Experience with bank reconciliations and cash management.

- Advanced skills in financial analysis and problem-solving.

- Familiarity with accounting software and tools.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
