Center for Wildlife Education
Job SummaryThe Work Study Student will support the Center for Wildlife Education as an Office Assistant on the Statesboro Campus beginning Spring 2026. Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12‑consecutive‑month period.
Federal Work‑Study EligibilityPlease confirm your federal work‑study eligibility with the Office of Financial Aid or Request Federal Work Study Eligibility Here. Employment is contingent upon funding.
Responsibilities- Answer multi‑line phone and direct to appropriate staff
- Perform clerical tasks to support staff such as file, copy and create spreadsheets
- Provide a positive customer experience with fair, friendly, and courteous service
- Accept deliveries and notify appropriate staff of deliveries
- Total sales on a cash register by recording prices and itemizing customers’ purchases
- Prepare daily deposits for Cashiers Office
- Resolve customer issues and answer questions
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment
- Up to 15 hours per week
- Flexible with schedule of availability
- Some nights and weekends will be required
Educational Requirements
- Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.
Other Required Qualifications
- Must be Federal Work eligible.
$12.00 per hour. This is a non‑exempt position paid on a bi‑weekly basis.
