Deputy Court Clerk II

Examples of Duties- Perform specialized administrative support and disseminate technical information to ensure proper and efficient court operations.
- Examine, process, prepare, and maintain case files and other legal documents.
- Prepare reports requiring accuracy, reliability, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Find solutions to complex administrative problems.
- Assist the public by phone and in person using customer service and communication skills.
- May occasionally have a workday that extends beyond regular hours, and you may have to work some weekends.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED, and
- At least one (1) year of experience as a Deputy Court Clerk I or closely related; or
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Court experience.
During emergencies and disasters affecting Chatham County, you may be required to report to work as part of a disaster operations team.
In accordance with the Department of Transportation, Commercial Driver's License (CDL) holders and those employed in safety-sensitive positions are subject to random drug testing.
Candidates with direct and relevant experience may receive an offer of up to 10% above the minimum salary that is posted, reflecting their exceptional qualifications.
