About Southern Motors

Southern Motors Acura is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Sales Manager to lead our sales team in Savannah, GA. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for driving sales performance, fostering a high-energy team environment, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences. You will play a critical role in shaping our dealership’s success and achieving aggressive sales targets.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate the sales team to meet and exceed sales goals.
  • Develop effective sales strategies and implement best practices.
  • Manage daily operations of the sales department, including staffing, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support overall dealership objectives.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the management team to maintain optimal stock.
  • Analyze sales metrics and prepare regular reports for senior management.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a General Sales Manager or similar sales leadership role, preferably within the automotive industry.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Highly motivated with a results-driven approach.
  • Ability to analyze data and sales metrics to drive decision-making.
  • Knowledge of automotive sales and inventory management preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Hire, train, and manage a team of automotive salespeople
  • Coach salespeople on best practices for closing deals and provide guidance to improve sales performance
  • Set sales goals, track progress, and manage team to achieve and exceed those quotas
  • Assist customers in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses
  • Explain product performance, application, and benefits to prospective customers
  • Describe all optional equipment/products available for customer purchase
  • Perform high-quality, professional, and knowledgeable presentation and demonstration of new/used vehicles
  • Learn to overcome objections, close sales, and perform all other steps of the sales process in accordance with company standards
  • Provide training and support to the sales staff and assist in closing deals
Requirements
  • Previous dealership and management experience a huge plus
  • Leadership skills with a passion for training fellow employees
  • Enthusiasm with high energy throughout the sales workday
  • Goal-oriented, friendly personality, especially when negotiating pricing
  • Attention to detail and problem solving capabilities
  • Quality customer service, communication, computer and basic math skills
  • Clean driving record & valid driver’s license
  • Willing to submit to a drug screen prior to employment
