Regional Banking Leader & Community Champion

Overview

The Community President serves as the face of Huntington Bank within the community, acting as the primary ambassador for our brand and values. This role is the go-to leader for colleagues and community partners, fostering strong relationships and driving impactful engagement. The Community President is responsible for acquiring new business relationships, deepening existing ones, and delivering comprehensive banking solutions to businesses in the market.

The position combines strategic leadership, community involvement, and business development expertise to ensure Huntington remains a trusted partner for local businesses and a cornerstone of the community.

Target market includes businesses with annual sales of $2MM to $50MM and credit exposures up to $25MM, with a strong emphasis on businesses exceeding $25MM in sales.

• Represent Huntington Bank as a visible and engaged leader in the community and build strong relationships with local business leaders, community organizations, and centers of influence.
• Serve on boards and participate in community events to strengthen Huntington’s presence and reputation.
• Aggressively prospect and acquire new, profitable business relationships through networking, referrals, and strategic outreach.
• Provide insights and guidance to business owners to help them achieve their goals.
• Manage and deepen relationships with a portfolio of business clients, delivering tailored solutions and advice.
• Actively engage internal partners to bring the full breadth of Huntington’s capabilities to clients.
• Analyze, structure, and close complex commercial loan transactions and maintain accurate documentation.
• Partner with junior colleagues on complex credits, providing guidance and coaching to develop talent within the team.
• Conduct quarterly portfolio reviews, monitor credit exposure, and ensure compliance.
• Act as the backup to the Market Manager and contribute to market strategy and execution.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (4 years of education and Business Banking/Commercial Lending experience).
• 10+ years of Business Banking or Commercial Banking experience.

• Expertise in complex commercial credits.
• Proven track record in business development and community leadership.
• Strong ability to build relationships and influence at all levels.
