About The Role:
As part of the CBRE Corporate Real Estate function and reporting to the Head of Design & Construction, this role serves as the critical link between the organization’s business objectives and its physical workplace portfolio. The Workplace & Change Management Manager is responsible for developing and implementing workplace strategies that align people, space, and culture to support business performance and employee experience.
Key responsibilities include leading complex change management and continuous improvement initiatives, applying design thinking principles to create high-performing work environments, and driving adoption of new ways of working across the CBRE portfolio. The role partners closely with business leaders, HR, technology, and project teams to ensure successful transformation outcomes, employee engagement, and sustained organizational change.
What You’ll Do:Workplace Strategy & Transformation
Analyze organizational data including headcount projections, department adjacencies, employee engagement surveys, hybrid work policies and utilization metrics to determine optimal space programs and footprint requirements. Develop workplace programs and space planning recommendations.
Ensure employees understand how new workplace environments support productivity, collaboration and employee experience.
Define and evolve the firm’s workplace strategy processes, tools, deliverable templates and value propositions.
Develop and execute change management strategies for workplace and business transformation initiatives.
Create change and communication plans that align with project milestones and business objectives.
Build and coordinate internal relationships with business leaders, sponsors and change champion networks.
Impact the achievement of customer, operational, project, or service objectives across multi-discipline teams. Work is guided by functional policies which impact the design of procedures and policies.
Utilize best practices to ensure a consistent and repeatable change management approach is embedded in programs and projects.
Lead cross-functional initiatives and drive organizational alignment
Coach and mentor others in change management methodologies and workplace strategies
Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with the CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
Communicate difficult and complex ideas with the ability to influence senior leaders and stakeholders.
Provide and implement solutions to improve productivity, efficiency, and adaptability of the business.
Work with business leaders, and impacted high-profile stakeholders to mitigate any risks, identify change barriers and devise strategies to overcome the barriers.
Drive employee engagement and adoption of workplace initiatives.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Organizational Development, Architecture, Interior Design, Corporate Real Estate or a related design discipline.
8+ years of professional experience in workplace strategy, workplace design, interior architecture, business transformation or a related consulting discipline.
Commercial real estate experience required – prior roles at a CRE services firm, architecture/design firm serving corporate occupiers, or in house corporate real estate preferred.
Experience developing and delivering workplace assessments, space programming, change management frameworks, data analysis, workplace utilization analytics and strategic recommendations.
Exceptional communication, narration and presentation skills – must be comfortable selling a vision in an executive setting.
Entrepreneur approach – comfortable building processes and tools where they don’t yet exist
Collaborative work style with the ability to operate across multiple teams, markets and time zones
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, CAD/Revit software, 3D visualization, Sketch Up and AI.
Ability to integrate AI tools into workflows to drive efficiency while ensuring responsible and compliant use.
