Field Operations Manager:
Commercial General Contractor
About NNI Construction:
At NNI Construction, we’re building more than just projects – we’re building careers. We offer a supportive and collaborative environment where individuals are encouraged to grow, contribute meaningfully, and bring their whole selves to work. As a growing company with a family-like culture, we’re committed to fostering an inclusive workplace with clear opportunities for advancement, flexible work arrangements where feasible, and a culture grounded in innovation and integrity.
At NNI, you're not just taking a job, you're joining a team where you can thrive, belong, and build a future you're proud of.
Purpose of the Job:
The Field Operations Manager (FOM) will drive consistent, high-quality field execution across NNI Construction’s active projects. This role strengthens project outcomes by enforcing company standards, coaching field leadership, and verifying that teams are truly ready before work begins—not by replacing Superintendents or Project Managers, but by making them more effective. The FOM will focus on safety, quality, schedule discipline, and site cleanliness through standardization, field presence, and truth-based verification.
By identifying gaps early, reinforcing best practices, and escalating risks before they become crises, the FOM helps ensure projects run predictably and successfully.
This is a 100% travel role.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coach, develop, and hold Superintendents accountable across multiple projects, with a focus on leadership behaviors, discipline, and standard work execution
- Drive consistent field standards across all sites, including safety, quality, cleanliness, sequencing, and visual control
- Conduct regular jobsite verification through targeted field visits and remote/video reviews when appropriate, validating reality, not reports
- Lead a structured weekly operating cadence with Superintendents, including:
- Two-week lookahead planning and critical path readiness
- Material, inventory, and logistics control
- Verification of safety, quality, and cleanliness standards
- Identify field risks early and escalate clearly using fact-based evidence (photos, timestamps, documented scope/schedule impacts)
- Support and enforce NNI’s internal “hard gate” operating system by verifying true readiness, inspection integrity, and prerequisite completion
- Partner closely with Project Executives and Project Managers to maintain standards and accountability without rescuing teams or proxy-completing work
- Reinforce a culture of ownership, preparation, and follow-through across field leadership
- Act as a force multiplier for the organization by improving consistency and predictability across project, not by running individual jobs

- Technically proficient with modern field documentation and reporting systems (Procore strongly preferred)

- Experience with national or multi-site retail TI and rollout programs (fitness, retail, hospitality, or similar fast-paced environments)
