Operate the asphalt paving machine and screed controls to lay asphalt on highways, private roadways, parking lots, and driveways;
Operate equipment safely and efficiently and control material input and depths distributed by the machine;
Understand paving processes including preparatory work, grades, drainage, paving patterns, aggregate size, and job specifications;
Maintain the equipment in working condition and perform minor servicing; report major problems to supervisor;
Possess or develop knowledge of oil consistencies, compaction, and other asphalt paving details
