Drywall Project Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of commercial drywall project management experience
- Strong background in metal framing, drywall, and acoustical systems
- Experience with project management / estimating software (Onscreen Takeoff, Quick Bid, BuzzBID preferred)
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and multiple project stakeholders
- Estimating experience and ability to review takeoffs is a plus
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- OSHA training
- Willingness to travel as needed
Drywall Project Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Oversee multiple commercial drywall projects from kick-off through closeout
- Review estimates, project scopes, and contracts prior to start
- Develop project schedules, manpower plans, and material takeoffs
- Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project success
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and budget tracking
- Lead project meetings and provide executive reporting to ownership
- Maintain strict adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and deadlines
- Collaborate with general contractors, architects, and inspectors to resolve site challenges
