Project Manager, Construction Manager​/ Foreman, Site Manager

C.W. Matthews Contracting Co., Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee complex transportation infrastructure projects across Georgia. • Manage all phases of heavy highway construction projects, from preconstruction through final completion.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, forecasting, and cost control.
• Lead project teams including Superintendents, Project Engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Coordinate with GDOT representatives, owners, consultants, and inspectors.
• Review construction plans, specifications, contracts, and change orders.
• Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
• Identify project risks and proactively implement solutions.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements, quality standards, and safety expectations.
• Manage procurement of materials, subcontractors, and equipment.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, production updates, and executive reporting.
• Foster strong client relationships through professional communication and exceptional project execution.

• 5+ years of Project Management experience in heavy highway or heavy civil construction. Project values range from $10mil to $100mil.
• Demonstrated experience managing DOT transportation projects.
• Strong understanding of roadway construction, grading, drainage, asphalt paving, concrete, bridges, utilities, and traffic control.
• Proven ability to manage project financials, schedules, and multiple priorities.
• Experience with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred (or equivalent field experience).
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards OSHA 30 Hour certification preferred.
