Microf is a subprime lease-to-own lender specializing in HVAC and other home improvement solutions, working with contractors across the country. We offer financing solutions to consumers and partner closely with contractors to ensure access to critical systems.

Purpose

The Collections Specialist is responsible for serving the customer base for Microf by providing outstanding customer service on both incoming and outbound calls. The ideal candidate has a strong customer service orientation, assists customers with inquiries and requests, and ensures a positive experience. This role successfully manages monthly renewals of customer accounts by securing payment arrangements and maintaining accurate account records.

The position is primarily remote, with occasional visits to the Atlanta office upon request.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish open lines of communication with account contacts and references for accounts in non-renewal status.
  • Provide excellent customer service and first-call resolution to all accounts, both current and delinquent.
  • Maximize collection of monthly RPA renewal payments by securing valid payment arrangements from customers in non-renewal status.
  • Document all correspondence with customers in the company’s CRM software and update client information to ensure database accuracy.
  • Participate in monthly team meetings to provide status updates on account management.
  • Contact all non-renewed customers in effort to bring accounts current and/or collect payment.
  • Contact all newly assigned accounts within one business day.
  • Consistently meet outbound call requirements, EVPH metrics, and all other KPIs.
  • Skip trace accounts as applicable.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1–3 years of collections and/or customer service experience preferred.
  • Understanding of billing and collections procedures preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to complete duties with a high degree of accuracy.
  • High level of interpersonal skills, including the ability to respond calmly and make rational decisions in stressful situations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Flexibility in work schedule when required, including nights and weekends.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with peers and leadership.

This position is eligible for a monthly bonus
. Bonus potential and performance standards are set by the Employer and may be adjusted or removed at any time.
