A well-established architecture firm with multiple offices throughout Georgia is seeking a Senior Architect / Project Manager to join its Savannah team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced architect who enjoys leading projects, mentoring junior staff, coordinating clients and consultants, and staying actively involved throughout the project lifecycle.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects while delivering high-quality design and construction documentation.
Responsibilities- Lead projects through all phases, including Pre-Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration
- Produce, review, and coordinate architectural designs, construction documents, and specifications
- Develop construction documents that meet client, regulatory, and industry standards
- Coordinate project design with consultants, regulatory agencies, and internal project teams
- Meet with clients to develop project goals and establish project programs
- Manage project schedules, budgets, consultants, and project staff across multiple assignments
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while managing expectations throughout the project
- Mentor junior architects and support their professional development
- Conduct site visits, field observations, and construction meetings as needed
- Contribute to a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and process improvement
- Professional degree in Architecture (Bachelor's or Master's)
- 5+ years of professional architectural experience
- Experience with educational projects is highly desired
- Strong project management and leadership experience
- Proficiency in Revit is required
- Experience with Sketch Up, Bluebeam, and Enscape is a plus
- Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills
- Passion for architecture and mentoring others
- Diverse project portfolio including K‑12, higher education, municipal, civic, commercial, and public‑sector projects
