Landscape Architect

What you'll do
Lead and mentor a team of landscape architects through all phases of project deliveryManage projects from concept through construction, ensuring on-time and on-budget performanceDevelop innovative, sustainable design solutions for a variety of project types including parks, commercial developments, and master planned communitiesCollaborate with clients, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement design conceptsBuild and maintain strong client relationships, including networking, proposal development, interviews, and fee negotiationsPrepare and deliver project proposals, presentations, and technical reportsEnsure compliance with industry standards, local regulations, and permitting requirementsManage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocationContinuously improve design processes, project delivery methods, and team performanceSupport the growth and development of team members through coaching and mentorshipWhat you bring
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape ArchitectureProfessional Landscape Architect license (PLA/RLA) required8–10+ years of experience in landscape architecture design and project managementExperience across multiple project types (e.g., parks, commercial, mixed-use, master planned communities)Strong knowledge of site planning, entitlement processes, and permitting requirementsExperience with project budgeting, cost estimation, and financial managementDemonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a design teamStrong understanding of sustainable design principles and best practicesExcellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentProject Submission
Must submit a portfolio that demonstrates design experience and understanding of the full project lifecyclePortfolio should include built project photography, presentation graphics, and representative design materials showcasing technical and creative capabilitiesWhy Thomas & Hutton?
